Petit, T. 2008 - 30" Mid Sev. 6" - A most striking patterned flower. The iridescent applique throat forms a shocking contrast to the dark, bold purple patterned eye. The petal edges lift in the throat area, displaying the dramatically mimicked applique and purple pattern on the sepals. Adding to the overall complexity of the flower is a matching dark purple picotee edge surrounded by a ruffled gold edge, typically with gold hooks and horns.
