• Treasurer Carol Sarginger presented the Treasurer’s Report. Dave Sarginger made the motion that the Treasurer Report be accepted as read. Aimee Buchanan seconded the motion.

OLD BUSINESS:
• Angie reported the Plants for Members Committee submitted suggestions for hybridizers to purchase plants for our program. Three were chosen – Spacecoast Daylilies, Ladybug Daylilies, and Browns Ferry Daylilies. They will be contacted within the next week in order to determine and place orders
• Angie reported that the regional daylily meeting in South Hill, Virginia has changed locations. The dinner and auction is to be 2 miles away at The Dogwood. Rooms for attendees moved to The Comfort Inn. For attendance requirements for our members who might attend, Angie proposed that open gardens coincide with the regional’s garden days, June 19th and 20th. Members agreed unanimously. She reported that regional registration was open as of Saturday, March 7th, 2026. Wayne asked if we could get a list of gardens and open times. Doris stated that a list would be beneficial for attendees with regard to mapping and routes. Margo said a map is coming out and she will try to get that to our members.

NEW BUSINESS:
It was announced that Margo Reed would be our speaker after the meeting.

• For benefit of the new members, Angie briefly discussed member requirements to participate in the Plants for Members program.

• Angie said we need a host for the Tri-Club social. She will talk to Connie from RADS to coordinate plans, date, and time.
• Angie said daylily clubs provide baskets for raffle to help defray the cost of regional. The baskets are raffled or auctioned off at the Regional Banquet. She asked members to donate something for the basket, noting the theme of the basket as “Arts in and about the Garden”. She asked that items be brought to the ChDC May meeting. She volunteered that she or Carol could be a drop off point in case contributing members could not be at the May meeting.
• Craig announced that the RVA Tropical and Exotic House Plant Club was meeting for a sale and swap on March 29th at Lewis Ginter, and Angie announced the March 21st Daffodil Show at Lewis Ginter from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:38 p.m. The meeting was followed by a potluck lunch and Margo Reed’s presentation, “Daylily Forms, Colors, Patterns, and Branching”.

Following Margo’s presentation a group of members participated in a floral card-making class with dried flowers taught by Angie.
