President Angie Bowald called the meeting to order at 1:45 p.m.
OLD BUSINESS:
• Minutes of the March meeting were read by Alice, and two corrections were made to the minutes. Wayne moved that minutes be accepted and Dave Sarginger seconded the motion. Members voted to accept.
• Treasurer Carol Sarginger presented the Treasurer’s Report, and Aimee Buchanan moved that the report be accepted as read. Angie seconded the motion. Members voted to accept.
• Angie discussed the 2026 Region 3 Summer Convention: Items for ChDC’s raffle basket themed “Arts in and about the Garden” were on display. Rooms are still available at the hotel. Anyone interested must call the hotel directly to get the Convention Rate.
• The TriClub social date has not been finalized yet. When this is decided, members will receive notification via email after the Summer Convention.
NEW BUSINESS:
• Plants for Members guidelines are available in print and on our ChDC website.
• We received plants from Ladybug Daylilies, Browns Ferry Daylilies, and Spacecoast Daylilies (original orders for $500.00 from each hybridizer). Spacecoast Daylilies (John Kinnebrew) provided 10 clumps. The clumps were divided with RADS and the cost is to be split with RADS ($250 per club with ChDC paying for postage for the order). Angie added several more plants to view on our website for today’s plant distribution to qualifying members.
• Committee Chair for Plants for Members Angie is requesting suggestions from each club member for the 2027 program.
• 2026 ChDC Fall Plant Auction (Sunday, August 23, 2026): Angie asked that members growing club plants evaluate your plants and send pictures as they bloom as well as details on their performance in your garden. Info and pictures should be sent to our ChDC email address. She will try to summarize their performance details and send in early August prior to our auction.
• Plants from prior speaker meetings (Bill Pinkham, Steve Williams) that were placed in Aimee Buchanan’s garden will be brought back over the course of the 2026 and 2027 auctions. Aimee is determining what plants will be ready for each auction during the 2026 summer bloom season.
• Donations for the 2026 Fall auction: Please provide information for your donations any time for the upcoming Fall Auction and pictures from your garden if possible so that they can be added to our website. Send info to our ChDC email address.
• Angie will ask Jim Murphy if the speaker is planning on bringing any plants for our club.

Saturday, October 10, 2026 ChDC speaker meeting – Steven Franklin. This meeting is going to be co-hosted by RADS, and it is emphasized that this meeting is on a Saturday.
Thursday, October 15-17, 2026 Lillyhemmer in Yok, PA
November 8, 2026 ChDC planning meeting. This meeting date is tentative as we may incorporate the planning meeting into the October meeting.
• There being no further business, Wayne moved that the meeting be adjourned. Jennifer Arnette seconded the motion. Club members approved and the meeting was adjourned followed by a luncheon and Plants for Members plant distribution.
